Safety as a Shared Responsibility

Safety guides how we approach every job from start to finish. It is not something we turn on at the beginning of the day and forget by lunchtime. It is built into how we plan work, how we communicate on site and how we look out for one another. Every employee plays a role in making sure each task is completed with care and intention.

Experience That Shapes Our Approach

Our safety program is led by people who understand the work because they have done it themselves. David Candelaria, our Safety Director, came to Mechanical Systems Company after years as a journeyman iron worker with experience in heavy rigging and crane operations. That background matters. It keeps our culture grounded in real jobsite conditions and practical decision-making. Safety starts with personal responsibility but it does not stop there.

Looking Out for Each Other

Every person on our projects is responsible for their own safety and for the safety of those working beside them. That shared responsibility builds trust and accountability across teams. When employees stay aware of their surroundings and speak up when something does not feel right, everyone benefits. Protecting teammates is part of doing the job well.

A Commitment That Does Not Shift

We believe safety is a commitment and a lifestyle, not a priority that can change as the day goes on. Priorities shift. Deadlines move. Conditions change. However, being safe remains constant. It stays front and center on every project, regardless of schedule or scope.

Carrying Safety Through Every Project

From planning to execution, our safe culture informs our decisions and actions. It is reflected in daily conversations, jobsite expectations and the way teams support one another. That consistent focus helps ensure everyone goes home safe at the end of the day.
